Weddings = INSANITY

Nathan and I haven't really told anyone yet, but we have decided to get married October 17, 2009.

We originally wanted to go with October 31, 2009, but we want an outside wedding and didn't want to freeze to death.

We are just starting to look into different things and plan a little, we don't have anyone to help pay for the wedding so it will be just us doing it, so we have to start early so we can afford it.

We are currently trying to decide whom we should ask to be in the wedding. I have a few people in mind, as does Nathan.

Invitations, Ceremony and Reception Sites, Food, Dress, Bridesmaids and Dresses, Stuff for the Guys, Attendants......I feel as if I am going insane. I actually just might be.

I honestly don't have any chick friends anymore really. The ones that I did have are moving away to college around this time and I just really don't talk to them anymore. So I really don't have anyone to help me plan anything. My mother I'm sure would help if i asked her but she doesnt know teh first thign about anything to do with weddings and she hates every wedding idea I have.....(Hey Mom, who says you cant play metal at a reception? )


At this moment I am stuck on, how do I pick my maid of honer and bridesmaids?

I had always planned on asking my cousin, Hannah to be my Maid of Honer. We have always been best friends, but for the past few years she never seems ot be able ot make time to do ANYTHING with me. She doesnt even really talk to me anymore,So it makes me wonder if she would even be reliable to do the things I would need her to help me do.

Do the Bridesmaids have to be people I have known forever? Can they be people I havent known that long? I have no idea.

I am just going to SCREAM!!!

I know, Ill put an ad in the paper...



Wanted:
Maid of Honer
Must be willing to buy a dress for my wedding and stand next to me at the alter.
Must be willing to go dress shopping and help pick out a place to have the wedding.
Must be willing to go try lots of food till we figure out what is good.
Must be willing to eat about a million kinds of cake until we find the best one.
Must be nice......at least a little nice.
Must be dependalbe.
Must not bitch a lot.
Most not be skinnier than me......just kidding......or am I?

I know this post is pretty much wrong for me to type after going on and on in a previous post about how all body types are beautiful and all...... but I'm so going to type it anyway.


As some on my friends already know...I applied for the Suicide Girls and was accepted. I am currently working to get my body where I want it to be...not for the Suicide Girls... but for ME.

I will go ahead and tell that on the day before Axton was born...my usually 120 - 130lbs body weighed 173lbs. The week after Axton was born I still weighed 165 or so.

Now.....9 weeks later... I weigh 140lbs. So I am ALMOST there. I am really proud of myself.

So this post is really nothing more than me being excited that I am getting so close to my goal.

Jour de peres heureux or Happy Fathers Day

So it is Fathers Day today. Today never really was my cup of tea. ( actually I dont even like tea..except peach Snapple..Mmmmm thats good.) When I was young ( er...younger) my Father never really was one much deserving of any sort of celebration. So I more or less just celebrated with my step dad. He's fun.

Anywho

I dont really have a lot to say on this subject other than to say Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.

Let them eat SPAM!

The Herald Tribune recently had a report that was pretty much stating that with the economy being so bad right now that many people will be turning to SPAM or other meat products in a can in place of buying fresh meat from their local market or butcher.


What I am wondering is how many people would really rather eat something as unhealthy as SPAM in place or fresh meat, regular or lean cut, just because of the economy?

I personally would be willing to spend the extra money to have something a little better for me. I know times are hard on a lot of people, but why sacrifice your health? I believe in quality NOT quantity when it comes to pretty much everything.

Ill take 1 lbs. of fresh lean beef over 2-3 cans of greasy SPAM anytime.
